Out with the old, in with the new

Happy 2018!

I know, I know, we’re already in February (that’s crazy!?). I’ve been slightly busy but I’ve mostly just been lazy and unmotivated.

As the title says, out with the old, in with the new. It’s a new year, which means, new year, new me.

I didn’t make New Years resolutions. Most people who made New Years resolutions are probably already off them. I think my unofficial New Years resolutions was to make New Years resolutions to be honest.

Anyway, back to the new year, new me. Over the last couple of years I’ve pretty much became a shell. I lived in my room and pretty much never went out. I was scared to go out, I still kinda am scared to go out sometimes. I put on weight and I basically lost interest in everything. Aside from my phone, I think that’s been glued to me.

After leaving school, I kinda lost the handful of friends I had. I quit my job because it was a horrible place to be. The only people I’ve really had interactions with in the last year are my family, my boyfriend and his family.

I don’t drive so I can’t get anywhere unless someone drives me. So I sit at home. Life’s been pretty boring and depressing at times.

But, the more time I have to think, the more I realise, I kinda miss the person I used to be. But, on the other hand, I’d also like to make myself a new person.

So as you do, I created a list. A list of goals or resolutions. And if you’re still reading this, here it is:

Short term – just a few little goals that need to be completed sooner

  • Achieve great results in my studies
  • Get a new job
  • Find placement
  • Learn to drive, get my license

Long term – the things that I think need to be an all the time thing, in no particular order

  • Do more exercise, get fitter
  • Write more blogs
  • Learn to be more confident
  • Go to bed earlier
  • Be a better person
  • Eat better food, be healthier
  • Make some friends
  • Keep a diary, for my fitness journey and general things
  • Manage my time better (manage my life better)
  • Think more positively
  • Make weekly goals
  • Spend less time on my phone

And that’s my list. I’ll keep you up to date with how this all goes! And I challenge you to set some goals or resolutions! Everyday’s a new chance to be better!

Until next time no.9
